Professor George Vancil

 Professor George (center, black belt) is the senior Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor at End State Jiu Jitsu and Mason Martial Arts Academy. He has been teaching Jiu Jitsu in Smithfield for over 10 years. In addition to his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he also holds black belts in Taekwondo (earned in 1989) and Hapkido (earned in 1990).   

George began his Jiu Jitsu journey with the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, where he earned his blue and purple belts. In 2018, he received his black belt from Professor Andre "Tim" Monteiro of "A Force BJJ" and Ricardo Tubbs.   

As a retired Senior Navy Officer with multiple combat deployments, George has trained in Jiu Jitsu on nearly every continent. He has had the opportunity to share the mats with Jiu Jitsu legends and real American warriors. Known for his mature, intelligent, and dedicated approach, he emphasizes the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in his teaching.
